VISION STATEMENT

The Alphansus Davis High School Physical Education Department seeks to give all students the opportunity and experience that will lead them to achieve total wellness which will result in a holistic lifestyle. Our department is focused on helping every student to achieve excellent academic performance in their CSEC AND CAPE Examinations. 

MISSION STATEMENT 

The Physical Education Department of the Alphansus Davis High School is determined to develop a quality Physical Education Program that places emphasis  on enjoyable participation in extra curricular sporting activities. This will help to develop knowledge, attitude, social skills and confidence needed to maintain a  healthy and active lifestyle. We aim to give opportunities to students athletes to develop and present their abilities through competition, displaying sportsmanship and representing the institution with pride and a defined sense of achievement. 

Overview of the Track and Field Programme 

The Alphansus Davis High, formerly Spalding High School ahs made tremendous stride in local and international high school's Track and Field competitions over the past 10 years. The Females team has represented the school well by establishing record at the I.S.S.A Boys and Girls Championship (2017). The Teams team s has given credible. performances at the PENN Relays in Pennsylvania (USA). We have National representatives at the World Junior Games, Carifta Games and the NACAC Games in the likes of Simoya Campbell (2011-2012), Cheriece Cope (2018 and 2019), Theresa Graham (2018) and Kishay Rowe (2019 and 2021).

Simoya Campbell a past student athlete represented our school community and our country at large at the  World In doors games, 2016 Olympic Games in Beijing China and the the 2018 World championship Games in London. The foundation has being laid for us to achieve more in years to come. The athletes are motivated.  We crave all positive support and partnership in creating an opportunity to develop talents and abilities of our student athletes.
